Nestled in the rolling foothills of Upshur County and meandering along the Buckhannon River lies one of the nicest small, private country clubs in North Central West Virginia, the Buckhannon Country Club (BCC).  BCC was founded in 1921 as a private club offering golf and dining privileges to its members. Today, BCC remains Upshur County’s only private Country Club. Located conveniently one mile South of Buckhannon, the Club offers golf, with the adjoining restaurant offering dining and banquet services in an atmosphere of casual elegance.

Our primary focus is our golf course and its playing conditions. Our members enjoy a nine-hole course that is infinitely playable for any handicap level yet very challenging for even the best of players.  The course design incorporates the beauty of natural surroundings with the opportunity for challenging, yet fair play.  Over the past five years, we have created lush fairways and impeccably manicured greens and tees, via a state-of-the-art irrigation system and an outstanding grounds and greens staff.

To make the golfing experience more fun, BCC has implemented a very active tournament and social schedule.  In addition to traditional country club events such as the Men’s and Ladies Golf Leagues, Member/Guest, Member/Member and Club Championship tournaments, our members enjoy a number of unique, fun, and challenging mixed events each year, including Mixed Scrambles, Night Golf, Mountain Men and Women scrambles, Sadie Hawkins Tournament, Shootout Tournament, and Pro-am.  In September, the Club holds its favorite event, the BCC Cup.

BCC is the perfect setting for all of your corporate or group golf functions or charitable fundraisers.  We have experience in a variety of functions, all in a quiet, relaxing atmosphere just minutes from downtown Buckhannon.
